It separates on the shelf on purpose, and the visible split is the instruction to shake. Volcanic scoria has been an oil-absorbing cosmetic powder on Jeju for decades, and this is the version you can leave on the skin rather than rinse off.

How to use. Shake until the two layers turn milky. Straight after cleansing, saturate a cotton pad and sweep once per area, or pour into the palms and press in. Morning and evening; if the skin feels tight, drop back to once a day.
Key active. PHA, a polyhydroxy acid whose larger molecules loosen dead surface cells more slowly and less aggressively than AHA or BHA, with volcanic ash absorbing surface oil. A pore does not close, what changes is how much shadow it casts.
